Because with Ethiopia there was a common goal to reach. With kenyans (goverment) it is different these fuckers are in the charcoal trade with Al shabaab. And are in the process of bullying the somali federal government to give them the disputed zone. Why would the fgs tolerate an state leader within somalia to side with the enemy state? I agree that the jubbaland president must be tough to keep the peace but not an president that publicly sides with kenya messing with the somali sovereignty to mess with the federal government. Shit is just petty unnecessary and above al an enemy against somali state hood. You can cut the communications but not this.

It could happen but it didn't the ethiopians were called and xamar was sweeped. AY wanted to re establish the mighty somali republic. You must know if the ICU stayed the Americans would have taken it down at some point. So a democratic republic was a better choice.
