Al Shabab was removed from Mogadishu in 2011, Mogadishu reconstruction started around 2012.

That’s 7 years and how are they able to reconstruct when al shabaab keeps bombing the place?
There was an al shabaab attack earlier this year with more than 50 ppl wounded and not to mention the October 14 attack which was just 2 years ago and the worst by far. Al shabaab is still operating in Mogadishu so lets not kid ourselves.

Hotel towers and other businesses in Mogadishu have disaster reconstruction scheme (they set aside a part of their income for reconstruction purpose), whenever Al shabab bombs it reconstruction starts the next day. Got to give it to Mogadishu resilience.
Danab are pushing al shabaab out of Somalia. They have achieved a lot in the last couple of months. Hopefully within a year al shabaab will cease to exist!

There’s widespread apathy and human life has no value. al shabaab hide among the shacab and are taking advantage of the corruption of the government.

Some Mogadishu people support Al shabab and are anti Government/anti progress that is why Al shabab is able to operate in Mogadishu. You rarely hear of suicide bombings in other cities in the south (Kismaayo, Beledweyne etc).
Poor and unfairness specially with Somali small clans inside Somalia. Federal is the only way to give everyone his right to choice as he please.

It’s not just Mogadishu ppl there is mistrust, xaasidnimo and corruption. The rule of government is a foreign concept to Somalis which is why they are struggling to implement it instead of providing security and comfort each tribal state wants to enrich itself at the cost of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people. The injustice that occurs in that land is why it will not succeed. You can’t built on stolen land and the blood of the innocent.
To add, you’re part of that problem. You use your position as MOD to highlight every negative aspect about Somaliland and you do this to advance your clan interest. There is no constructive criticism, no positive feedback, just pure unadulterated hatred. This is the case with those from Puntland, Jubbaland etc. No objectivity among a diaspora group who were born and brought up outside of Somalia. None of you are nationalists or care about the future of that country only your tribal villages which you continually boast about. The same tribal villages with no running water. Please don’t pretend.
