Why is that not an acceptable career for a Somali

From a cultural standpoint, the arts aren't valued among Somalis. Even though they refer to themselves as the land of poets, that isn't quite something they feel can allow them to subsist. They prefer conventional career paths as they think they are more stable and will contribute to social mobility that and higher social standing/status. I would say, that a career with an arts background isn't all bad, especially when combined with technical skills i.e. graphic design, UX design and so forth. You would be handsomely recompensed if you combine arts and tech. It sort of sets you apart in a way.

Oh I see. It’s the same thing for arabs. Some Arab Parents discourage their kids that want to pursue arts or anything of that sort as a career choice for mainly the same reasons.

It's pretty much common among immigrant families. They have a limited subset of career options - a health or law professional or something in the science or tech field.

@Crow this degenerate thinks he can talk shit about our religion :susp:
I admit, it wasn't my ideal location but it's not like I could have taken her to my house or just book a hotel room. I was in the mood and so was she, so I strapped up and did what I had to do to get the job done.

"She" kulaha. I bet he was molested by his male teacher while he was in the middle of taking a dump. He had his shit literally pushed back in so he lost faith in the diin.
:hahaidiot: @Abdi-indhoyare
Why are you projecting what happened to you at dugsi onto me? That story sounds far too descriptive to be fake. I would make dua for you to heal from your past trauma but it doesn't really work
