Sending money back home

Every month £250 for all those cousins that blame me I refused to let them use my passport to get to Europe. Niggas obsessed with Europe and North America. I just do it for the sake of dodging the evil eye.

The funny thing is the only thing they do is chew Qaad. One had the nerve calling me to pay for his brothers mag who shot another geeljire in the head cuz they looted his camels. How is that my problem I’m all the way in London

If my mother lived back home with my siblings I would do the exact same

But when I get calls from a far far far distant cousin I nerver met or heats of asking money for a new phone or help with paying his marriage those kinda relatives I ignore
Yea I understand

Sending money home waa wax iska caadi, I used to send $400 every month and sometimes even more.

Laakiin ilaahay baa isoo furtay, We sold a family owned bakhaaris in the middle of the city back in 2015, it was a good amount of money and we invested in real estate and some good homes for monthly rents.

Now that I think about it, since most of the young generation aren't sending lacag back home, and less refugees since the cadaans are sick of us, aren't the Somalis back home kind of fucked?

Sxb, you made me thinking about an issue I never thought about before. Forget oil and that shit, has Somalia ever been surveyed for iron ore? That shit is good money, anyway, if there was any, by now, the Chinese would be digging it in exchange for a soccer stadium, couple of million dollars in Hong Kong bank accounts and few villas for the tribal elders.
The money is in mining. South Africa makes $200billion mining
Somalia can sell gypsum to make drywall and send it to Asian countries who are constantly building. They can sell bricks using the dirt in the country. Also Iron ore which I explained earlier. They can mine the copper and sell it to energy and tech companies.

They can mine Tin to make the body of airplanes, trucks, cars and trains. They can mine the Salt(not the food one the one that is mined) and sell it to European and North American countries who can use it to melt the ice on their roads.

They can mine the Uranium to make clean nuclear energy. Even if no one is educated to do that, they can sell the raw material to germany, Russia, USA, Iran or whatever.

There is so many ways somalia can be rich but it is easy to fool uneducated people. A politician was wearing a suit and made a video of himself standing next to something a diaspora somali made and is taking credit for it. Saying this is what I have done for my community nonsense.

here is a fucking idea why dont you people learn from the west then go invest in somalia, open a business there anything transportation, food service or talk to large foreign companies to invest in somalia then go there work as a representative of those company lets say, mining by doing all this you could employ the people there trust me if they had a good income no one will want to leave their home so you can also kill immigration of somalis.israel, iran, china, india all these countries their diaspora returned back home with special skills that contributed to the their country, all the bakhtis in the west can turn their lifes around go to university get directly involved in their respective regions, and i know somalis have a problem with long term planning but think 50 years
did any of you ever tried finding like mind somalis in your adapted countries with special skill organized yourselves, got involved in your homes affairs
the whole corrupt politician thing can be dealt with by long term planning, for example turkey the ruling party took control of turkey after 60 years by slowly holding key positions in the gov, like minded people in the west can do the same, somali businessmen in the west can support or lobby somali politician who are like minded who want to change somalia for the good. or you can have a better idea
somalispot doesnt have to be about gossip and bullshit why not have a discussion in the development and politics forum, why are people here always posting whats happening and not what should be done about it
the mods can start this trend as leaders or we can have people with just this job but most of you are cry es always the critic but never seen any of you offer any solution to the the problems you love to bring up

teach a man how to fish and he wont go hungry
A lot of people I know who I have spoken to about don’t want anything to do with the place until the qabil mindset is vanished. My mother’s side of the family always brings up incidents about what’s happening to gabooye back home. Honestly it seems they don’t want to go back for safety reasons. My mother has encountered a lot of racism because of being gabooye. She told that was a reason why she hasn’t traveled back since.

My father doesn’t really talk about qabil issues. He was raised in Mogadishu and said he didn’t face really any problems growing up. He said Mogadishu has a lot of different qabils there and is pretty accepting. I don’t know if that’s true or not but I took his word for it. @Sheikh @nine is that true? Mogadishu is pretty accepting? That’s what my father said.

But anyways Both of them haven’t really tried to encourage me or my siblings to go to somalia and help fix the place up. They only encouraged us to stay in school get a degree and find a nice stable job making good money.

I haven’t heard any of my friends talk about helping develop somalia. When I did bring up in a convo a couple months ago they all just brought up how its messed up with qabil issues, safety reasons, and pay.

We got a generation of somalis graduating college pretty soon. With some already working.

I personally honeslty don’t know if I want to move back. The way my mother described it doesn’t seem well to me. I will most likely go there in a vacation but until than I can’t make any decisions.

Motherfuckers are gonna be in for rude awakening nobody raised in the west is gonna be sending money to Africa my so called mom suggested I marry my second cousin I said no then she suggested i pretend she's my wife and bring her here I said no then she asked have her marry some guy while I send her money so he can f*ck her for free and I pay for there kids:childplease:

Fam @Jerome in the house there is some truth to what your father said. Back in the days where Somalia had a strong government and the country was peaceful also there wasn't too much Qabil. The Capital Mogadishu back then was very welcoming to any different Qabils of the country. Nowadays that has changed since the Civil War. Mogadishu since it's the capital has varieties of Qabils. But recently a clan in Mogadishu burned a Bantu Somali for being a Bantu. I don't know if you heard it or not.

I think Mogadishu is getting close to accepting just Al Kabob and crooks need to get cleansed.

Somalis back home are lazy and dont work hard if you spoil them . They'll ask for something everyday if you do them a favour

Worst thing is our population is far too small to suffer like that again, especially in regards to the Bantu and Oromo numbers. We just CAN'T deal with another civil war, it would destroy our race. What can possibly be done about it?

People don’t care.

Honeslty dude. I’m American raised. I noticed most of my friends who are in the same situation as me. Don’t really care for somalia and have planned their lives here already
That is really sad to hear,i seriously think we should encourage young somalis to care about their homeland, but i can understand why some people want nthing to do with it,especially the way they are back home

I was back home in the summer kow dheh, them peps life a good life on the money sent to them.
Fresh laxoox and goat/chicken livers in the morning.
Bariis isku dhex karis with hilib adhi for lunch.
At night they have Malawax/sabaayad with Steak.
Heck they got maids to clean the house and wash/iron their clothes.
I had an iPhone 5S and they were laughing at me for that.

Markaa my advice is send dough to only your parents and maybe grandparents/siblings.

The experiences of their parents play a big role.

After what my mom told me I consider somalia a pretty racist place and my interest in actually visiting the place went down. Plus this forum has made threads about gaboye people actually getting mistreated back home. Heck hear I have been called the M word.
m I d g a n
The place don’t seem really to nice for me. I still have an interest in seeing the place cause of what my dad told me about it. Heck the dude wants to retire in Mogadishu.

If your parents left the country with bad memories of the place than they will most likely tell you about it. Those words can keep you away from the place.

I still want to visit and I still have a small interest in helping people. I actually know someone that got deported and is currently jobless in Somalia. Especially with gabooye having hard times with work as well.

Part of me gets a little bugged when I hear about Somalis risking their lives to go to Europe. And seeing those vids on YouTube of immigrants from Africa having their boats sunken resulting in hundreds of people drowning

Technically I didn’t really pay attention to qabil stuff until the age of 20. So I always considered sending money.

My mom bought land in hargeisa and wanted to build a masjid on the same street her sister lives on. She is now considering building a clinic. I guess I get the caring side from her

Don't you want to help the Yibirs and Gabooyes who are suffering due to the jaahilnimo that is ever present in Somalia? If you don't do it it, who will?

Mogadishu is the least tribal place in Somalia. People generally don't care about your qabiil bro
