Yeah everything has a time, but you don't have to go as far as being addicted to it. I have seen 20 something year olds watching anime like wtf?

I've learned many life lessons from watching Naruto growing up 
1. The more power one have, the more responsibility one should take. I learned this from Shikamaru, while he take up his responsibility after Asuma died. He knows that he doesn't have the ambition to change the world, but he will take up what others entrusted to him. I really like the words in Shikamaru Hiden,
"I will make Naruto Hokage, and I will be Mirai's teacher."
He wanted to take a normal and peaceful life, but others do notice his talent, and they trust on him. In real world, this is also the case. As you have more potential, you will influence others greater.
2. Be with your own dignity when in a relationship. The NaruHina and SasuSaku are the unhealthy ones, while the perfect ones are MinaKushi and ShikaTema. Also Kiba and Choji's relationship with their partner are good. It's not because Kishi(author of Naruto) don't know what's a healthy relationship. It's intended that some relationships are unhealthy. Good couples should give their care to each other constantly, and they had better have the same beliefs and abilities on the same level.
3. There's no real genius. Neji was clever, Kakashi was proficient in many areas, but Sasuke and Naruto wins over them through their "special abilities of their clan","Bonus equipment" and "relations with important people". That sounds very unfair, but there's other measurement to one's lives other than strength on battlefield. Neekoba and Tamaki can lead a peaceful and happy life in the troubled world, that's also successful.
