The Kenyan people haven't been good neighbors to Somalis in the past and especially when the war happened there are factual documented evidence that Somali have been missed treated and even killed by Kenyan people. We should be excited for them at all they technically despise all Somali's even the ones that are native to northern Kenya. The amazing thing about our Somali community that we do business with ourselves and employees Somali's. I've heard stories of Somali's owning business and letting Kenyans employees open and close when they aren't there and for some reason robberies would be more frequent.

Actually Tribalism in Kenya stems from the colonial period.

The only measure is how Somalis get treated in that country, not sentiments on social media. So far, things are alright. We don't need to be universally loved (no one is). We can get by with what we have which is either positive or neutral. Besides South Africa, most places are generally cool.
Either way, the NFD is a Somali territory. Somalis are in a good position to really assert much political and economic influence in that country. Colonial mechanisms forced Somalis to join what were previously two separately managed regions into a southern non-Somali center. Kenya has no choice but to give Somalis the red carpet to power now that they forced the northeastern folk to play house. Say hello to big papa.
