Somalia better get their troops ready because that's never going to happen.

What is never going to happen is recognition from the international community of Somaliland. Isaaq missed their opportunity in the 90s by having their own civil war when they should have focused on recognition. The return of a nominal government in Villa Somalia means the death of whatever chance there was in the 90s. You have two options: continue as you are now, or join Somalia in some loose federation.

I personally would rather Isaaq stay where they are now, it is in Puntland's interest that Irirism is allowed to die a slow death :nvjpqts:

Status quo will remain and a referendum will be held within the next 5 to 10 years. Something the West supports.

The thing is there is no reason for the International community to support any recognition of Somaliland
since Somalia is getting better and Somaliland is no longer the pillar of democracy (two delayed elections).
@Thegoodshepherd is right the best time for Sland to get recognized was in the 90s to early 2000s
when Somalia was a mess.
