Men should be confident about who they are and shouldn't get offended by stereotypes. The things she said in the video don't apply to all of us but she does have a point and there are bad apples who fit the stereotype, just as there are women. True. Not only is it the most frequent, but also the most exaggerated. Of the thousands of Somalis that live in my city, I can point out only two girls that married outside the race. However, the guys outnumber the girls, in terms of marrying outside the race. At least where I live.

True. Not only is it the most frequent, but also the most exaggerated. Of the thousands of Somalis that live in my city, I can point out only two girls that married outside the race. However, the guys outnumber the girls, in terms of marrying outside the race. At least where I live.

In my city, Columbus, Ohio, where you have over 30,000 Somalis, to my knowledge there is only one Somali woman that has been reported to be married to a cadaan man. No marriage has been reported to AAs and other ethnic groups.

Guys, the reality is the people who marry out - men and women - are a very tiny minority and since they don't find acceptance within the Somali community, they make enough noise in social media. At least in North America, the number of people who marry out is very small. However, I found majority of the women who brag about marrying foreigners are found in Ingiriiska and other parts of Europe, especially Ingiriiska. Yet they are still a tiny minority but make enough noise in order to make us accept them. They are basically lashing out!

Brothers, let us get real, we (Somali men) at least have huge part in the reasons why a tiny minority our women married out. We destroyed Somalia and kept it in a mayhem. This is a country where all Somali women and children would have stayed had we not turned on each other and brought it to its knees. If I am not mistaken, there is a clear hadith where Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) have clearly warned us not to take women and children out of Darul-Islam. We did the opposite, and are today seeing the consequences of our careless and retarded actions.

I would add we should stop bashing our women in public. No man likes any man to bash his sisters, so the sisters in that video and many others are sisters to other Somali men and our sister in Islam. Therefore, we should respect them the way we want our sisters and daughters respected.

Just make dua, move on, and hope for the best!
