The General of the Eritrean Navy Hammid Karikare has passed away today. May God/Allah grant him paradise

The general of the Eritrean Navy, Hummad Karikare, has passed away.

Karikare joined the struggle for independence in 1966, fighting for Eritrea’s independence.

And during the Tigray conflict, when the Tigrayan Peoples Liberation Front TPLf invaded the Afar region and committed atrocities there, Hammad Karikare the General of the Eritrean navy helped the Afar region against the TPLF by sending Eritrean divisions into the Afar region of Ethiopia to fight jointly with the Afar regional forces against the TPLF. As General Karikare was an Eritrean Afar himself.

I know this general- I believe he hails from Badoytamela from the afar tribe or Saho Omarto. May Allah have mercy on his soul
