Not sure why there aren't more of these. There are hundreds of flour mills in Ethiopia.

Turnkey setups with those capacities usually cost less than 100k custom made.

Is it a specific type of wheat needed, I know many people in Africa deal with Durum but I think thats just used for pasta.

Here's a fairly reputable manufacturer in China:

180k for 20k tons annual capacity might seem expensive but they provide some decent after sale support that would cost a fortune otherwise to African buyers.

I doubt its anywhere near that cheap. 100k is the price of a villa:pachah1:
People spend more than 100k on land in hargeisa. If it cost that much it would be everywhere

Here is a video of the Mill

The machinery isn't that complex and there's plenty of competition for it. It's just a grinder and some secondary machines to pre-prep & clean the grains.

It's just some metal sheets that are welded together somehow at the end of the day.

If you check on Alibaba you could probably find some decent deals but you could negotiate the prices down even further.

Those factories make most their money from the after sales and maintenance as well as hoping you scale up through them.

That link you sent for 180k/20Tonnes for this factory would cost over 1 million. Add the cost of that huge land which is at least 300k minimum and other costs. It would easily be a multimillion dollar project

Alapala supplied the equipment and installation, including the 300 tpd capacity flour mill and four 7,500-tonne capacity steel storage silos. The steel structure for the mill building also was supplied by Alapala Construction, which specializes in the design, supply and construction of industrial buildings worldwide.

The mill has an annual wheat processing capacity of 110,000 tonnes, using hard and semi-hard wheat to produce high-quality bakery flour for mainly domestic consumption.

The mill has an advanced automation system, combined with Scada software that overall provides an excellent ability for process control and traceability. The system allows centralized monitoring of the entire process from wheat intake to flour packaging, offering remote connection possibility for real-time error diagnosis and intervention.

The Scada software is combined with a sophisticated yield monitoring system, which collects weighing data from six different places in the process and analyzes the data to generate detailed production reports.

The installation of pneumatic and mechanic transport equipment is fully made in conformity with EU standards, and individual precautions were taken to ensure safe and hygienic product transfer in the mill.

Poor choice of location.

Why not built it in near fertile land, then create work in form of transportation heading too berbera.

Now it seems you'll have too import the wheat to said location, making logistics more troubling then it should be.

Probably the best logistical choice. Few hours from the 2nd and 3rd largest Somali cities. The argiculturalists from waqooyi galbeed and togdheer will line up to make contracts with him to provide raw goods and farm specific to his needs.

There’s another flour mill being built in gabiley region. It has partnered with local farmers to provide the raw materials.
