I only see woman and kids where the men?

Not a lot of men live in shabaab controlled areas. Only women, children and pensioners. If you are a young man aged 20-50 and you don't fight for them they will kill you so most just flee the region. Hence why most in shabaab controlled areas tend to not be young able bodied men that are not fighters.
