For the past decade, betting companies have sprung up in Africa like mushrooms in rainy weather. Many of these companies, which are predominantly European like 1Xbet which is Russian owned, have seized the opportunity to operate in the continent due to the lax regulations on betting that exists in several African countries, because of weak regulations they exploit low-income communities, the companies always win and remain profitable while the vulnerable people that bet lose more than they win. the marketing allure of quick and large wins appeals to those in low income communities the most because they perceive gambling as a quick way to improve their financial situation

The FGS can say given you control those companies we’ll fine Hormuud anyway if Golis/Telesom don’t apply the same policy.

Let’s see how far FGS’s power projects. I always said in future FGS policy will apply in SL+PL (even if the gov’s there don’t follow the same policy) when companies start needing Central-South Somalia.

If may cause a split between Biixi's and HSM's gov't. Muuse has praised HSM for staying out of SSC, but will probably now have a change of heart if FGS manages to exert power in SL, lol.

Either Hormud will comply (I heard that they may get fined otherwise?) despite SL being against it and in the long-run SL will try to decrease their monopoly/presence there. Or SL may talk with Hormud and let them cut a deal with the gov't behind the scene and exempt them. Or SL may force Hormud to disregard the ban if they want to maintain being a provider in SL. One of these three options will happen.
