Man SMACKS Muslim for Saying AMEEN in Congregation Salah!

This isn't a Hanafi thing it's an ignorance and kibr thing a lot of people do that

Try praying like a Maliki in a mosque in Somalia and see if people don't call you names

Modern Muslims are a lot more tame.

In the past, different Madhabs didn’t even pray together in the Harram. Yes, that’s how bad they used to be.

There were even cases of people refusing marriages based on Madhabs as well.

Believe me, what we’re seeing today is light work. People used to be unhinged.

Imam Ibn Kathir said under what happened in the year 317:

In this year fitna occurred in Baghdad between the companions of Abi Bakr al Marwazi al Hanbali (student of Ahmed ibn Hanbal) and a group of generality. They differed over the tafsir of the verse “So your Lord may raise you to a station of praise.” [al Israa verse 79]. Hanabila said (it means) The Prophet sitting with Allah over the throne and others said: It means the great Intercession. So they fought due to this issue and among them killings occurred. For we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. It is proven in Saheeh al Bukhari that it means “The great Intercession” interceding with Allah Almighty.. and it is the station to which all creation desires, even Abraham the Khalil, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. [al Bidaya wal Nihaya under what happened in 317 h]

Hanbalis, man.

Not just Hanbalis,

Different Madhabs used to fight and insult each other to such an extent each Madhab had their own section in the Harram during Taraweh.

Walahi, reading Islamic history shocked me. It wasn’t the Kumbaya version that’s pushed. People in the past seriously didn’t have a lot of patience for different opinions like we do today and they weren’t so noble as would think.
