You match them because you have similiar Cushitic/Arabian ratio levels as Habeshas/Northern Horners.You have Eritrean & Beja level amount of Arabian ancestry.

I have a fully Somali Cibraan Isaaq sample who is more Arabian shifted than most Somalis but nothing like you tbh.

You made a mistake with the cord you created if that’s the case. He is more Arabian than Amhara,Afars & Tigrayans. Somalis with a Yemeni grandparent would cluster with those groups as they are roughly 25% Arabian. This guy is 35% Yemeni which is why he is closer to Tigre & Bejas

Intersting, both of you could be right cause my 23andme list me as 74.5% Somali supporting @Reformed J , while Myheritage and gedmatch supports @Garaad Awal cause it list me higher Eurasian admixture, with ethiopian jew and Yemeni jew/mahra very common distance, in myhertiage its 49% somali with 18% Ethiopian jew, 16% middle east and around 4% North African.

@Garaad Awal , I just realised your 92% Cushitic and 8% Yemeni mehra, on Average I saw we get 3% to 5% max for Yemeni Mehra which means your slightly higher by 3% to 5% which is significant in admixture, that's why you child has only 43% Cushitic, minimum he should have been 47%. Are you Cimraan?

We were almost extinct because of an ancient war that my parents told me, about 70 % or more of us lost. In the 1920s to 1940s our aqil and Sultan gave us tasks that each man to marry more than 3 women, 1 adaraxman sacad and the rest from other isaaqs, he wanted to reduce other clans and increase our numbers basically killing two birds in one stone .

I found another adaraxman sacad who got 94% east African, 5% MENA on 23andMe. His paternal and maternal HG is identical to mine. Am i over thinking or is it something to do with adaraxman sacad? Here is a link to his comments, https://www.somnet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=382829

@soreal96 those particular combinations of sources don't suit you as you're part Benadiri meaning you have ancestry from all over the Indian Ocean, not just anciently deep rooted Arab. Your 23andme results probably told you as much.
