You need more than just a president to have a free democracy with no corruption. The Parliament and courts have to be corruption free as well.

First thing to do would be to get money out of politics. And ffs real political parties based on ideology not thinly veiled clan ones

Indeed, having good democratic and transparent institutions in place is the most vital thing because no one would go corrupt if they know they'll face harsh consequences. Personally though I'd step down if I lost, the presidency shouldn't be seen as a seat of personal power but one of great burden and responsibility.
