I understand why Allah (SWT) and the prophet (SAW) said that this dunya is nothing and is misery. Seeing the state of the world and suffering of Muslims has really opened my eyes. I used to be one of those detached westerners who valued wordy matters over my akhirah but getting my imam back has changed me.

Obviously I don’t want to die but subhanallah. All I want is for these oppressors to be served justice by our lord

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, a man may have a rank with Allah that he does not achieve by his good deeds. Thus, Allah continues to put him to trial with what he hates until he reaches the rank destined for him.”

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The people who lived in prosperity will wish on the Day of Resurrection to have the reward of those who were put to trial, even if their skin had been torn away with shears.”
