Naturally? No clue I'm not a historian but I do remember reading somewhere that the sahara was green at some point, on the other hand artificially greenifying deserts is pretty common the chinese have been doing it since the early 2000s changing desert plateus into green farmlands.

Been happening for a while they've even been getting snow in the desert.

The real place to watch though is the Euphrates- if it recedes and the gold is found...

Yep it's almost fully ready and they found a whole bunch of ancient sites and some gold when it receded like 2 years ago.

But... this isn't it yet. It needs to recede more and reveal a huge quantity of gold which will then lead to a bloody war where 99 of every 100 who try to get the gold die.
