Every leader of the Somali state has been either a Darood or a Hawiye and every one of them was a corrupt and unmitigated failure. Time for change. Otherwise, stop pretending to be nationalists interested in what's best for Somalia. You can't have your cake and eat it. It's a complete disgrace that the only clan with the most experience in peaceful administration, the Dir (including Isaaq), has been completely shut out of the political machinery. Not to mention Rahanweyn, Madhibaan, Elaay etc.

Not all of them have been corrupt.

I was with you until that video that claimed Hassan was anti Ethiopia, he is a staunch supporter of Ethiopia. Between Hassan and Farmaajo I'd still pick Farmaajo because Hassan is such an epic failure. Worst president ever.

During his time as PM, Farmaajo proved how much of an unpredictable & emotional coward he is, by walking straight out of the door when things got tough. As each day passes we realize how how pathetic the guy was.
Are you sure we can have someone like that as head of our country for the next 4 years?

Hassan is such an epic failure. Worst president ever.

Today, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is hailed as the first Somali president to end the civil war and defeat anti-peace/anti-state elements. He has developed government institutions and the military is maturing.

Al Shabab has been defeated & law, democracy and federalism has been established in more than 80% of country. and the majority of people overwhelmingly support the government.

Mogadishu, our capital, has become the second fastest growing city in the world, something never witnessed in the 50+ years Somalia has been an independent nation.

The president is credited for all of this and none of these facts go unnoticed. Major world players are flocking to Mogadishu to re-establish diplomatic relations with Somalia, for the first time in almost 30 years.

To label him as "The worst President ever" shows out of touch with reality.

If Hassan Sheikh walks out of Villa Somalia tomorrow, he leaves behind a nation, unlike all other previous presidents.
