Too much oil can worsen your condition try using oil like 2 times a week leave it in for a few hours then wash it off

It talks about three different reasons for dandruff dry scalp, Seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis.
if you have sebborrheic and you don't tackle it your hair follicle over time will be inflamed thin out and eventually start balding.

dry scalp basically from too much shampoo/ hot water its small tiny flakes you just need a serum for hair and non drying shampoo.

seborrheic are larger flakes is excess sebum/overgrowth of fungi and you can bald if you don't fix, you need shampoo with pyrithione zinc, selenium sulfide Ketoconazole

psoriasis is like really serious it looks very diff you probably don't have this

I personally rarely use shampoo, even the ones designed for curly hair, as it ruins my curls, I usually only use conditioner and leave-in conditioner.

I only use conditioner twice a week the rest of the week it's just water, my hair manages fine on its own.

wash ever week if you don't shampoo it will get worse

I wash my hair couple times, if they get too dry they just frizz, need to top it up every few days.
