Do you guys think Somaliland and Puntland will descend into Civil war

Somaliland and Puntland are the only two regions in Somalia that have enjoyed relative peace and stability for many years. But the delayed elections and current armed conflict threatens the stability of both regions. Heavy fighting between Somaliland government troops and khatumo rebels erupted in Las anod which claimed many lives. Heavy fighting between opposition forces and government troops has also occurred in Garowe. Are these two peaceful regions on the verge of collapse and civil war? Reer Galmudug is praying for the peace and stability of both regions.

PL will be safe. Deni already accepted election to happen on time and if he lose will hand over power. Don't know about SL as they is an actual war going on against SSC and Garxajis. I hope peace prevails.

SL, yes. Awdal, Lasc, and now GX. That is a lot of unhappy people. Garoowe is just one small group that is being disruptive, it's not that big.
That is not necessarily true. There is a lot of insecurity and unrest in cities such as Bosaso and Galkacyo. Abdiweli Gas recently visited Galkacyo and talked about the insecurity in the city. One good thing about Puntland is there are no separatist groups calling for independence. GX recently called for an independent burco state.

Really doubt SL will go into CW the region has had remarkable peace and the Gadabursi and Issaq even though much blood has been shed in the past, both groups have enjoyed the peace.
