Maybe it's not the best idea. But currently anything is better than being a part of Somalia. With all the marginalisation and dulmi in Somalia , you guys in Ethiopia have roads schools universities and generally a higher quality of life then the average Somali in Somalia especially south west somalia.

The only difference between Somalia and Ethiopia is that the Somali regional gov't and federal gov't have total control of all of their borders and monopoly in violence and no rebellious states. None of which exists in Somalia today.

If/once that happens, then Somalia will be in a much better place, with the gov't and authorities able to provide better service to the public, tax properly, get loans and later on invest back, and so forth. But we can't even get along in Somalia.

Just look at your own state that soon could be further destabilized due to disagreements between gov't and opposition. No wonder the rest of Somalia are in similar seat. This is where our priorities should be.

If we promised Ethiopia the 3 ports they would most likely arm us and give us the support we need to take jubbaland. We could get arms and Ethiopia already has presence in Gedo.

Neither FGS nor IC will ever allow any succession from Somalia. SL after 30+ years are still denied, what do you think will happen if KG declares to split off from the country? Don't fool yourself and think of more reasonable approaches that will yield actual results for the locals.

Even if Kenya or Ethiopia were to 'take' JL or KG, which again will never happen, but to entertain this suggestion, it will never be recognized as theirs. Heck, they already control some regions today, could it get worse? I think we've reached the peak of foreigners in Somalia. It's all going downhills from now on.
