General Sulub Ahmed Firin was recently appointed to become Commissioner of Police. Formerly the deputy aviation minister in the current cabinet he will replace Gen Hijaar who held the post since 2019. This also comes at a time where the Police force is under scrutiny after the murder of a bajbaj driver by a member of the police force.* Reportedly * before taking the post of Deputy Aviation minister he was the driver of "Bashir Goobe". Any thought on why Gen Hijaar was dismissed, I'm thinking connections to the former admin.
