There is GREAT difference between FAKE news and FALSE news, who often later turn out to be false.

I don't think the gentlemen was deliberately trying to present a lie as truth instead he relied on news outlets that presented a story, which later turned out to be false. Big difference.

The slow part I can't comment on but the circumstancial evidence seems to point at it
