Is Dhuudo considered a district in Puntland or just a town?
A town it's under banderbeyla district lol that's were my forefathers came from
@Bohol Sanaag/Burco are economically tied to PL. Plus security tied. That whole axis from Burco/Erigavo illa laga tago Beletwayn River, there largest armed clan is Majerten, while the others are basically 'bimaal' type armed clans in small territory.
The reason states are viable is due to security importance and economic viability and 'strategic importance'. SL has strategic importance but fails 'economic' viability DDSI controls 80% of it's taxes not inside SL. Security viability is another issue, 5 armed clans not 1 major armed clan like PL can lead to security problems. Political situation is terrible, SL only unites due to fear of Darod not due to love of itself.
That's why in 1960 they couldn't form a state similar to south sudan today struggling to form a state as their 5 clans all equalized in arms and territory. Don't repeat the same mistake, it's forced union Isaaq nothing else, it will break apart the second it's left alone to it's own devices and you will be in a south sudan situation and praying for Somalia.
You shouldn't worry about PL as it has more to lose harming then gaining(300 years sultanates means deep dies to oman) this opens up doors and referrals to America giving political support and the CIA examining the 'security' reality of Somalia on the ground(territorial axis, bases, outposts, etc). I am suprised you don't join PL, it's only out of qabiil fear nothing else not the economic/security/political reality on the ground
