What’s going on? Who do we side on this? Why is a civil war happening? What does Egypt or Sudan have to do with it? How does this effect Somalia? Can we take back ogadenia?

All I know the tigrayans are the ones who are rebelling and egypt and sudan don't want a dam bulit in ethiopia which will screw the amount of water and crops egypt and sudan can get drink and grow especially when they are already struggling with feeding there own people.

With somalia not that much effect unless somalia gets involved and sides with sudan and egypt and no somalia can't even control its own land how will it be able to attack and take someone else's.

Egypt doesn't want Ethiopia to make a dam for Ethiopias benefit. I think Ethiopia should build the dam because it will give electricity to the most remote areas of Ethiopia. Sudan is siding with Egypt even though the dam will benefit sudan and stop the wasted money going to stopping overflowing of the nile

Egypt has over 100 million people they already struggle with water the dam will worsen the condition in egypt

Will our role reverse? Somalia was thriving when Ethiopia was in a civil war back in the 70s and we changed places

Maybe, I don't know. I pray Somalia looks at what's happening in Ethiopia and decides to fix itself. Inshallah we don't get involved.

so europeans are going to decide who uses the nile. no. the source is from Ethiopia so Ethiopia has claim over it.
Ethiopians signed the treaty as well. Whether or not it's still relevant doesn't matter, they're a weak, poor, unstable country that simply cannot afford to act so recklessly.

Ethiopia didn't sign the agreement. they weren't part of it. Sudan and Egypt did

There were multiple agreements, one of them was that they wouldn't build any projects on the blue nile in exchange for flat fertile land around modern day Benishangul-Gumuz.

The 1929 anglo-egyptian treaty states that egypt has authority over any changes in the nile.
