The burdens of adulthood clutch,
I thrive, I fight,
With all that I am,

I once entered a poem competition in year 7 and won so my poem was published. To this day I have no clue what book my poem is in or what fuker took credit for my hard work

Life is so hard when you are alone
A couple bumps on the road before I reach the throne

Hero's Journey:
Today, I ask "why not you?",
As we look for a hero, to save us from doom,
Endless struggle, Constant strife.
We all want a hero, to set things right.
A pillar of the community; a paragon of faith,
A knight in shining armour, that has what it takes!
Like the stories of old,
As the stories foretold,
They'll guide us to the promised land, that we can call home.
Tomorrow, you ask "why not I?"
As you start to realise, maybe they're right,
"Perhaps it could be, that the hero's in me,
And all that I need, is a bit of belief?"
So you throw on your cape,
'Cause you have what it takes,
And to your surprise, you begin to take flight
And uncover the strength that was hidden inside.
So I suppose it would seem, you're the hero we need,
And all that you needed was a bit of belief!
