What’s this claim that mothers are the ones that instill culture into their kids? We aren’t in the 1950’s anymore people. Kids with both parents as Somali barely have any knowledge of Somali dhaqan but you want to convince me that a half Somali with a Somali mother will know Somali dhaqan?

You can argue that kids with 50% Somali ancestry are Somalis but the whole mother teaching culture isn’t a good point.

Just go to TikTok Lives when a Somali girl's wedding video blows up for marrying an ajnabi, there's gonna be hella fobs arguing and a lot of them in the comments.

Debate between who? Certainly not in mainstream society. I guarantee if you go on to the street and ask if the father isn’t Somali is the kid Somali, 9.999/10 times they will say the kid is ajnabi.

Then again I’m just speaking anecdotally, I have never encountered the debate and the people lambasting women online aren’t speaking about the culture of the kid not that I even delve deep enough to see it. I scroll past once I see cheap and clean.
