Would Somalis still be Muslim if the civil war never happened?

Alhamdulilah our country has always been muslim, but before the civil war, Somalis weren’t as practicing as they are today, we can see this is old photos, videos and oral stories. If the civil war never happened, what would Somalias religiousness been like?

yes. somalia isnt central asia so the worldwide increase in muslim religiosity would have reached us.

somali people have a very twisted idea of islamic:/ whatever ignorance that went on pre civil war is definitely unislamic behavior but nightclubs/not wearing hijab are not worse for muslims to be doing than killing themselves, engaging in tribalism, bribery, nepotism, overall corruption and deceptive sins being the norm in somalia along with mistreatment of people who are less protected (smaller tribes, orphans, women etc). today you have people in somalia complaining about the adhan and his tribes people will support him out of tribalism. some people commit kufr, and their tribe still supports... long story short, the only difference between then and now is a more visual following of islam on the surface level

Nah I think we would of been more like Sudan or Libya where when majority of the youth people in the city wear jeans or trousers and majority have no beards but still a sizeable amount with beards, if anything Somalia is already similar to tribal Pakistan
