WorldRemit Founder donates large quantities of Coronavirus prevention medical supplies to Somaliland

Hargeisa (SD) – WorldRemit Founder Ismail Ahmed donated medical supplies was received by the Somaliland ministry of health in Hargeisa today.

The World famous remittance founder previously pledged a million dollars to Somaliland’s efforts in combating the spread of the deadly virus in the country.

The second round of the WorldRemit founder’s donation consists of 100,000 N95 face masks, 40,000 regular face masks, 100,000 Hand sanitation kits.

There is a third round of donations that are to arrive in the country, according to sources close to the matter.


WorldRemit founder currently resides in UK but is was born and raised in Somaliland, compelling him to give back to his community.

The Somaliland government and public equally expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful donations.

It is worth noting that, the philanthropist didn’t pose with his donations for social media buzz, making his efforts genuine.

This is all useless that money should be going towards infrastructure. Nothing that Somaliland can do will prevent Covid. The worst has passed and it’s not that bad
