Goodbye = Macsalaam
I think we use the word Nabad for peace.
Asalaamu calaukim
wacaylauku wa Salam.
Macasalama,
Salama
inshallah,
Manshallah,
alhamdullah are all Arabic phrases use by Muslims.
In Somali language, "Nabad" or "Soo nabad" are phrases that people greet each other.
"Nabad" is the Somali equivalent of "as-salamu alaykum."
"Nabad" is also the Somali equivalent of "wa alaykum as-salam."
"Nabadiino/a" and "nabadeey" are the equivalent of "ma'asalam" or "salaam."
Note:
probably you don’t speak Arabic but
Asalaamu calaukim
wacaylauku wa Salam.
Macasalama,
Salama
All of these phrase contain Arabic word for peace.
So Somalis and Arabs have one thing in common that is greeting “peace”.
