noticed Anglo-Saxon countries don’t really have traditional clothes nor celebrate it unlike here in Scandinavia where it’s big thing for us

you would see farah and halimo with those clothes in 17 May in the street celebrating it.

You sure? You can't really call macaawis something that belongs to one ethnic since it is so widespread in Arabia mainly the south as well as south-east Asia and there are many speculations on where it came from

I have no clue, but honestly many clothes in history like suits were once specifically for nobles of a certain area but became standard across europe.

Even if some of these are tribal specific we should embrace them enmasse if they are halal.

There's indigenous macawis which was historically produced locally, al umari kinda gave a reference to it.
The modern one is foreign tho, Indonesian macawis lol.
