I made thread way back before about it

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diacritic wiki for those who don't know but it's basically just letters like ü or á.

Honestly Somali is confusing to read and one of the biggest reasons is the sheer amount of a's u's and o's. It could be solved with switching it for letters with different pronunciations while still providing the advantages of the Latin script.

Inb4 Akh weirdos talking about sand nigga script or @Samaalic Era talking about some random Somali script.

We should make script called Macalin M script. It would be forced among all Africans. Say no to Latin, say no to the colonisers!!!

Imagine the poor kids in Gambia asking why they speak a language called Macalin M and their parents being unable to answer because they're going to be silenced by big Macalin M. That's a bleak world.

Jokes aside I don't think there are any downfalls with diacritics.

I always tell my mum this. Reading and writing Somali needs to be improved but I guess that’s the least of our concerns

Yeah, it's just an afterthought really but it's one of the many things I wish they'd do.

What really are the chances of it happening? I don't think we're ever gonna see it unless someone lobby's for it

Somali script is imperative and the only Real solution. A script is a symbol of your culture so using Latin Just shows how backward we are:francis:
