Why UK Homes Have No Shower?

One of the thing that suprised me on my visit to London back in the mid 2000's was that their homes lack a shower space and only have a bath. The best upgraded home u will find a shower over tub and that was if your lucky. I remember using bucket over body in UK homes. Wallahi I was fuming like WTF is this shit INDIA.

The british guy told me the homes were built before the shower days and they can't squeeze in space. I was like WTF. The houses are TINY wallahi, no space at all which made me feel restricted. U don't get good value for your houses in UK, I wouldn't buy one that's for sure.

In Australia even the oldest type home will have a over-bath-tub shower, but most houses post 60's all have their own shower space. The other thing unique about Australian home is 'ensuites' which is a second bathroom in a master bedroom.


These type of homes cost 250k and probably 300k for the land plot. The great thing about Australia is land n house packages, we can built our own type of homes brand new.

I forced my uncle at the time to get an overhead shower in the bath tub, that was the only thing they cud do, he was like this is normal ppl just use buckets in place of shower head cuz it's expensive upgrading it or something. I love having my space in shower and took a while to adjust to that shit.

Yes I love our commonwealth brothers but in all honesty, UK is old everything and they like it like that becuz of historical character. I don't mind historical character but not everywhere u go, it loses sentimental value. Like in Sydney, they preserved the 'harbour' area near the rocks area when they first settled they're, but the rest of city is modernized catching up with the times. Australia doesn't go overboard with historical preservation but it also preserves at a rate it makes it unique.

But Aussie homes most were built post 1950's after the World war 2. Each decade they continued to modernize from 1950's, each decade has it's own unique character. Imagine they just stopped modernizing from the 1950s and just left bungalows everywhere? plus we get more choice then america. U can buy established home and then u can buy what 'era' type of home u want or u can build from scratch(land n house package). This gives our homes unique time-trail, not stuck in one time period but evolving constantly. That's why on one street u cud see 1950s type of home, then 1970s and 1990s and all the way to post 2000. Where-as these u.s.a cunts just build one type of home and each street looks the same.

@Periplus If the UK didn't get bombed and join world war 2, we were protected by them in Australia but they were overwhelmed and couldn't help australia in it's time of need with japan bombing darwin, so post world war 2 we signed our security pact with America, the UK never recovered after that world war 2 and wasn't reliable security partner for the nation. The empire where the sun doesn't set did set after world war 2.

As u know they're is 'yellow peril' fear in australia of being invaded by chinese and with our security pact with the USA they keep them away for now but how long can this last is what I argue? I read too many chinese investors come here and 'inflated' the housing market in the last 5 years. Similar to how Somalis inflated the Mogadishu housing market. They're dumping way to much money into homes that are not worth what their buying it for. As u know if u inflate just one house in one street, the rest of the street prices up grade as knock on effect and then suburb.
