Some people make up lies as if Somalis are abused and work in lower jobs to serve their boss (masters) in Arab countries when actually it's far from it. Somalis have too much pride and wouldn't allow such a thing, not even Somali women. The Somali presence in Yemen like in trade, commerce, banking, and especially in the legal profession made them exceedingly influential.

In Yemen, Somalis had the equal status of a Yemeni while Ethiopians who also have too much pride had an inferior social status and their workers would work in low quality job and get abused for it.

My father actually visited Yemen since his cousin owned a company over there. He told me once he went to a Sana'as center where there was many successful Somali businesses and once an Arab guy tried to disrespect the Somali owner and man he got fucked up badly. They even whipped him with their belts lmao and he cried to the police officers and the cops told him not to mess with Somalis.

My dad remembers going to a Masjid where this Yemeni sheikh talks about Somalis being fearless, dangerous and that they are unconquerable people and he was warning the Arabs to never disrespect the Somalis. He also talked about some positive Somali history how nobody can fight with them and how Somalis defended Islam. My dad felt like a king when he was in Yemen.

Shout out to the arabs wallahi one thing I can say I never met an Arab that's hated on man they always show us Mali nuff love and respect. It's because we have a big history trading with them so they know us very well.
