Why Puntland’s position won’t change post Deni

Our resident Iljeex Hutu @bidenkulaha seems to think that HSM will have an easier ride once Deni is gone but he fails to understand one important thing. In the deserts of Migiurtinia, there are no rivers that flow nor lakes to cool the land. There are no farms to provide produce, nor any oil and gas to sell. The only cash crop that grows with abundance everywhere in Migiurtinia is politics and every man harvests tonnes of it. The one thing the desert dwellers excel in is politics as it is the only commodity they have to sell. If Deni leaves, you can bet your last dollar Migiurtinia’s official policy won’t change regardless of who takes over. They truly have depth in the squad that would make even Pep Guardiola blush

I sort of agree which is why I’m looking forward to see if Deni leaves willingly. he’s a stubborn guy and there’s a decent chance he’ll burn PL to the ground to not be kicked out of PL after the way HSM has used and abused him. He’s vengeful and you know how irrational they can be. Regardless that’s a problem for PLers, support him to spite HSM or don’t support him, couldn’t care less. I’m just a neutral observer.

point on HAG side is for none of this to matter. If FGS has access to loans it’s over for PL. Xamar will dominate politics even in SL and everything, everyone, everywhere will desperately line up in a queue for the crumbs. Add to that 1m1v and I’m now confident this government can get another term

It doesn't matter who becomes the president, we have a system problem. Problems are soo deep that I don't think we will agree on anything. for example the Hawiye who think with their calool want debt forgiveness so they can borrow more in our name. Waxaas caqli Miya? Most of which will be lost to corruption. Arms embargo ain't happening and I doubt countries will let the zoo borrow more. Maybe china so they can come and collect the ports when we default on the loan. It's a curse the failed colonial project.

Who is going to recognize a sham 1m1v where millions cannot participate?

As long as millions vote I doubt that’ll be the issue. Getting PL to participate is more important and the thing HSM will be after even if they disagree on his other constitutional plans.

remember Iraq and Afghanistan elections used to have less than 10% participation

Why would PL take part in this? This wouldn't even be something that would just be us, you would have a bunch of other groups opposing as well. Be realistic, 1m1v is not happening by 2026.

Let’s see. The government wants it desperately and will do everything in its power to. If it fails expect two years of arguing over election model like Farmaajo. I doubt beesha Lixaad want that.

There's not going to be arguing we all know what to expect, the formula is there 4.5 is back on the menu. Either Deni or Farmaajo for the seat rotation.

No there’ll be arguments over who controls the process and where the elections take place and how they are elected. It happens with every election. HSM has chosen a more submissive PM who’s his political soulmate unlike the past PM that were ‘isbaheysi’. There’s a chance even if HSM hands over election process Hamza can’t agree on it with the states

Why do you even care about what happens in PL/SL? Just do a biometric census, and give each state its share of the foreign aid. Each state in turn provides a similar percentage to the FGS to fund its functions foreign affairs, military, monetary policy, and immigration.

Why should the FGS care about what curriculum or test PL has in place, road construction in Garowe etc..? I find it baffling.

They want a constitution based on centramoryanism and not the federalism the government is based on. It’s ila meereyso 2.0 until they’re forcefully brought to the table because they dont pay their own bills.

There is solution for it. Let them join states southern states togather under one rule from xamar, with Puntland, SSC and Jeegaan.

Faroole is no different to Deni when it comes to HAG you hit the nail on the head, Biden Daroodka ayuu ku dhex wareeray, he also seems to be under the impression that a Jubaland that is not split into factions will somehow benefit HAG, quite the contrary.

And if JL and PL see eye to eye, then its pretty much game over for HAG.

You do make some valid observations. I acknowledge we don't have a philosophical brain to create new ideas, we wait till someone else does and we are 'brutal architects' then. Ogaden created the Pan somali idea, PL applied state craft to it tho.

@Jiron created the federal idea in the 1950s, we simply 'tweaked' it from language based to clan based. That's why I say we must keep ogaden/rahanwayn as alliances as our 'visionaries and philosophers', if we don't, they will once in a century produce some messiah who 'visions' something that their 'peers/time period' won't understand but the future will honor.

Even this Hiraan nut-case @The Midlands created Irirism which 50-60 years later is being architected by HAGS/Djibouti. He saw something way before any other Somali did.

I warn Majertens all the time, if we keep hawadle/ogaden/rahanwayn as allies, we don't need to be so concerned with the future and when they generate another philosophy, we can secretly thought experiment and examine it's outcome before state tweaking or crafting.

But they won't listen to me, they will forever be in a 'defensive' mode like happened with majerteniya kingdom and darawish wars, and how now HAG/Djibouti are crafting irirism into different state models to punish Puntland. This could all be evaded if we ensured Hiran/Ogaden/Rahanwayn are strong allies.

@Abaq I support Puntites who have a strong northern culture because the environment will need to foster creativity to survive, I think this adds some genetic edge that their simply going to fare better then southern conditioned Puntites.

The other thing about PL environment it's not like saudi arabia that will create an 'extreme' mind-set of 'violence' due to the tough terrain. Nor is Puntland a farming area that will create 'dummies' due to the 'comfort'. It's a mix of 'both' which will create a gifted mind to navigate the tough times, but it also knows how to relax and reap the harvest when the 'rains' come and make it plush.

So it has the mind-set of both environments in a dual-state or as Somali says 'they will know when to fight and when to make peace' dagaal waa yaqanan iyo nabadna waa yaqanan. That's why they can hold agreements whether local or even global. Where-as a saudi or khaleeji mind-set will be shaped to fight only no matter what field they study but u will see aggression as their forte, the peace or the reward mechanism simply hasn't developed.

The same 'extreme' is seen with farming society, they don't know how to be creative, fight, think different due to the environment being 'friendly'. I noticed in Europe it's those in 'harsh' snow conditions who also have this 'genius' mind-set especially russians, but they also know peace-reward-hold deals cuz they see the environment fire up with sun in spring/summer.

The khaleejis tho that is one extreme mindset thaat environment can produce, same with ppl who live in islands or pure jungles.
