It affects your thinking like alcohol. Alcohol was made haram after some Sahaba got drunk and prayed. They made a bunch of mistakes during recitations saying things like Allah is not the most gracious and merciful (paraphrasing).

Idk about Weed at all, but Why would you smoke weed? Is it the little satisfaction it gives you? Are you not thinking about your life? Marriage life? Are you going to be a good example for your future kids if the mother fucking smokes weed? Your parents probably don't know about it have you ever thought about what will happen if they found out? The heartbreak they will have that is if you are not already bringing more Ls.

It’s haram because it smells weird and it retards your mental function to some degree. Khat on the other hand is not haram (at least that’s what users say) although it has somewhat an opposite effect of weed. By this funny logic, cocaine and ecstasy are also ok since they are similar to khat.

Lsd will f*ck you up for 12 hours and so is obviously haram. I think we should use our intuition to categorise the drugs, if in doubt do some proper research .

I agree that we pick and choose what is kosher I mean haram or not. The religion is generally vague and we have to rely on people who have expertise on it.

Two years ago I would chill with this Somali dude. He still the homie but I don't see him often anymore. But like whenever we would go to jumah prayer I would be his ride to the mosque. After prayer we chilled for a few minutes to catch up with friends and etc. dead ass every Friday at the masjid after prayer him and other niggas would just make plans to smoke. Yh the right thing to do would be to get responses from several reliable shiekhs and collate to form an acceptable ruling. Religion is inherently binary but I gracefully accept that as Islam literally means to submit. At the same time it is our duty to learn as much as possible and use our caqli when we should. I never needed to smoke weed, i remember a mate of mine year 11 thought I was like a family friend.Said guy would do weed 24/7 and even got expelled for scaring kindergarteners while kissing their class window while high.So basically he thought I did weed but the way he described the feeling was how I always felt.Thus I didn't bother smoking.
