Wasn't the message given clearly to be monotheistic to only Allah. Why is there so much tension between Muslims who follow different sects.? Could we all not just follow sunnah, tawheed, quran and hadith. ???

well the prophet said that Islam will be split into 73 groups all will go into hell except 1 which is the group that only follow Quran and sunnah
almost all of them follows quran and sunnah

The price of milking 2billion fools out of their money and having unparallel power on earth... There is cruel civil war being waged between muslim.

The Qur'an tells us about the danger of sects
to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do.
Surah Anam 6:169
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ
Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muḥammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only
to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do.
Surah Anam 6:169
