Why is the native population of Hararis in Harar so small ?

It's sad to see that Hararis are now a minority in their own city. Harar has such an interesting history.

I think Oromos outnumber them now, same thing they're doing to ethnic Somalis in that entire area.

Amhara settlers from Shewa and Gondar are the largest ethnic group in Harar city today. Oromos used to live in the surrounding areas of Harar, so their influx into the town is understandable.
