Why is name calling common in Somali fadhi ku dirir?

Like everything is a fair game. If someone disagrees with your political opinion, they will start by saying "hooyada/walaasha w**......."
All it takes for someone's family to be insulted is to voice a different opinion. Since Somalis are Muslims who pray and our religion encourages modesty in speech aka no profanity or vulgar language, can you guys try and explain to me why the culture of name calling and insulting people for simply having a different opinion is this common?
The older I get, the more I am realizing that 99% of Somalis are culturally Muslim, meaning all the deeds we do everyday is simply because we grew up seeing our parents and the community do it. We don't truly practice Islam.

I am old enough to be your adeer and let's be serious adults shall we?
Why would a Muslim person insult another Muslim person's parents? How's that a joke to you?

I suggest in the time of laylatul qadr to seek forgiveness for the takfir of a whole ethnicity. I'm not sure where this comfortability to call out an entire people's deen comes from but it is without a doubt peak jahilnimo. Have you seen how arabs insult each other? Why are you calling Somalis deen into question when Arabs insult each other in a similar fashion?

I've seen this sentiment multiple times on this site. Wallahi the way these people speak you would think their place in Jannah was already guaranteed. Please have some much needed fear in Allah (swt).

Yep name calling is a sin but takfiring and questioning people's imaan over it is much worse.

You're right, that was a mistake on my part. With that said, we seriously need to question why Muslims are comfortable speaking in this manner?
