What does both waqooy and galbeed mean? What do they translate to in English?

Waqooyi means North in Somali.
Galbeed is West. Koonfur means south.

"Ogaden region" is called Somali Galbeed / West Somalia

I've been raised with the term deegaga for chicken. I think I heard dooro once but it sounded like someone was saying crow.

Thank you I’ve been using these words with no idea what they mean. I feel something changed in my brain now that I know wooqoy galbeed = Northwest
