Our people existed way back before somali identity formed my forefathers never said i am somali. Why should isay i am somali.

Well you’re not technically Somali so it makes sense.It was only the Somalis who forced the Somali identity on the Af-Maay speakers claiming that it is only a dialect when it’s a different language.

I hope one day Somalia recognizes Af-Maay as an official language
