Excess of anything is too much. But pride is good, what is bad is excessive pride. Would you rather Somalis have no pride because they maybe poor or in war. Its what a lot of them have left, pride. But you don't want them to have that either.

Tough love is good. But its self loathing when someone says any good comment about Somalis someone comes in to say its bad. If someone says we are funny, you have someone say we are too much, attention seeking and not funny. Now we can't have pride on her our nation. Wealth and power doesn't equal pride either. You can be rich and still be a self-loathing group of people.

That’s really a fantasy. Power is decentralized in the West unlike autocratic/authoritarian nations. This means that no single person/group can bring down a nation. The US is a different matter though, at least right now. Trump has basically all 3 checks of balances on his side. He could do a lot of damage and probably destroy America irreparably, if he wanted to. But these things are impossible in Europe. There are multiparty systems were coalitions are unavoidable. This means no single entity can seize power for itself.

To be fair though Europe is very dependent on the U.S. geopolitically and economically, if the U.S. goes down Europe going right down with them, Europe without the U.S. got nothing on China economically or militarily

Btw like I said China is already looking to take over Taiwan (taiwan makes 60% of the worlds semiconductors peep that shit rq they got a crazy stronghold over the tech industry) the ONLY thing stopping them rn is the USA you bet ur ass if the U.S. goes down, China is gonna rush to take over Taiwan and their manufacturing of semiconductors and computer chips go down, next thing u know the tech industry and the world as we know it is fucked
