It's a Christian website written by a Kenya, so we shouldn't be too surprised.
''Historical destiny as the heart of Africa''
This one line made me chuckle a bit. They have really lionized Ethiopia to this extant, it's actually some next level delusions.

Ignoring all the false psuedo historical glorifying dribble throughout the article. And address the meat of its claim about Ethiopia needing sea access for its economy or stability or what have you.

I have explained in a different thread that It's not imperative for Ethiopia to have sea access , nor is it a right.
Being landlocked is even less of an excuse now in our modern times considering there are landlocked rich nations such as Luxemberg, Switzerland, Kazakhstan to only mention a few.

But Ethiopia frame it as an obstacle so much that they are willing to destabilize the region and go to war, which to me is not only an entitlement but also shows their inability to work with their neighbors and their search for an excuse to explain their lack of development.

The poverty and violence don't stem from their lack of sea access, heck for 1000 years they were landlocked, didn't exploit their natural resources or develop an economy, just went around pillaging their neighbors, stealing from peasants and only to be gifted sea access by a colonialist impost federation and later annexation of Eritrea , in that brief period Haile Selassie didn't use it to develop it's economy

Selassie bred corruption in Ethiopia; he maintained a backward and inhuman system in which millions of his subject lived in degrading poverty, oppressive misery and ignorance. Nowhere in the world was the gulf between rich and poor greater.
In 1973 Jonathan Dimbleby visited northern Ethiopia and made the film which was to signal the end for Selassie. The film for the first time showed that people were starving to death in their multitudes, despite the money for 'development' which was being pumped into the country.

Having a sea port did literally did nothing for them. While they continued to subject their own people to this misery and poverty, they at the same time worked to destabilize their neighbors for many years.

I guess acknowledging this is a huge blow to their Ethiopia mythologies.

j.areer has no true sense of nationalism, pride nor faith, they only worship amxaaro.

“Ethiopia DESERVES a coastline because…. It just does okay!!”
that’s the only argument they have, it’s what they used in the 1940s to annex Eritrea and it’s what they use today

It's insane, i have never seen a single country whitewashed to this level in the global public discourse, not even Isreal.

The bias is strong and mythology they have built up just works for them.
Maybe it's Somalis and Eritreans are partly at fault for not being vocal in creating a publicly available counter to it.

Ethiopia if it really is after sea access and is a genuine national desire and not have other hidden motives(which there is many) I mean this dude did Nile wars, sea wars, their is some who think his distracting Ethiopians on the common enemy card due to the fragile internal climate. Once a nation needs a common enemy, that's usually bad signs of the internal situation. Somalia did it and it led to our crumble, while some bloody amateurs still try to do it again even among us.

But then again why Somalia? Why not Eritrea who was once apart of their country, it's not our fault that meles and isaias in Eritrea in tplf forged this deal, yes it was most likely influenced by siyad barre when he was hosting them in Mogadishu to counter Menguistu sending rebels into Somalia, plus it does copy Somalia and Djibouti setup, plus it does hurt Ethiopia by making it landlocked which siyad and isias must of knew(maybe meles didn't know till too late), well they did it, but I think their elites know these guys were sent up by us the tplf and Eritrea and now seek some sort of sick revenge.

As for Africans their in worship of Ethiopians, heck even Rasta worship that haile sellasie.
