Kenyans govt and people are welcoming. Me and family vacation there never has it crossed our mind to visit Ethiopia lol. I can’t point to anything specific we just don’t mess with them

Nah Ethiopia is not stable country like Kenya
Right now Ethiopia is entering new civil war with Amhara and there is big chance the Somalis are the next victim.

@johnsepei5 I went there with the intention of 'antique' hunting due to the long history it has as part of my antique portfolio that im handing down to my kids with strict instruction to 'hold' so it 'ages' and is limited globally.

Next trip to Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Iran, Mali. Doing 1 country at a time tho.

@johnsepei5 My final antique hunting will end in Murcanyo where I'll create a base and bring some marine archaelogists with me, which australia is no 1 rated due to it's large ocean. That part of red sea where gardafu is located must be treasure trove of ancient egypt, roman, greek, arab, turks, brits, china. Plus it's a mon-soon location Gardafu where vessels would ship wreck unlike Berbera to Egypt end where waters r stable. It's like god left us all these goodies at Gardafu to explore, store, etc.

Theres been no reason since the north has been pretty stable. The only reason anyone is in kenya is the south has been unstable. Between the two ethiopia is far and away the better attraction. They actually practice a more orthadox christianity rather then the protestant/evangelical in kenya, have a sizable muslim population, and we can blend in for obvious reasons. Any investment in either of these countries is likely to be futile in any case. Its like a mexican investing in the US. Sooner or later he will be accused of trafficking and have any wealth confiscated

Ethiopia is open prison . Government controls everything and there is no short cuts or bribes like in Kenya . Also Ethioian people are generally very greedy . They will try to negotiate 30 mins just to save 2 dollars

I do business in Kenya. Kenya is a democratic country, you can start up your business and the government isn't going to take over or shut you down for no reason.

Ethiopia on the other hand, business is controlled by the government, and they do as they please. I heard they didn't allow Somalis to open business back in the day.
