These types of videos often rack up tens of thousands of likes and retweets on websites like Twitter, naturally people from the other side of the world are going to be able to see it.

Personally, I've never had someone angry at me for speaking Somali, though to be honest when I'm out with a family member we only speak Somali when there's something we want to say that we don't want others to hear and understand, usually things like "this sibling is picking a fight with this sibling." We've had strangers being bigoted towards us on many occasions, but not specifically for speaking Somali.
