cause they believe since the man is married he is mostly likely a good person and trustworthy. Also jealousy can play a part.
Marriage is an important part of getting ahead. It lets people know you’re not a homo. A married guy seems more stable. People see the ring, they think ‘at least he can get a woman.’ Ladies see the ring, they know immediately that you probably have some cash.
And there's also the aspect of wanting something they can't/shouldn't have.

Women have an in-group mentality. They wouldn't go after a spouse or a boyfriend that their female friends wouldn't approve of. Men do the same thing but to a lesser extent as we are more individualistic. A taken man signals that he is valuable and worth pursuing as the guy has been 'vetted' of sorts 
but men don't have this same desire to be with a married woman. the male ideal is a virgin rather than a woman who already has been with a husband.

Men are attracted to beautiful women regardless of her past. Indicators being symmetric face shape, nice hair whatever the hair type, moisturised skin, favourable hip to waist ratio etc. The reason why guys tend to wife less experienced women is due to there being a higher likelihood of less baggage and preconceptions. The woman tends to have pristine mindset and a more positive outlook if she hasn't been with a lot of fuckboy guys. I don't care for such things as I am a fucked up individual myself so I would wouldn't pursue a pristine woman due to it being unfair... but I tell you men are simple, the thinking woman would probably understand this.
