Why do we called arabs Dhegcas?

I don't know about the ear part, but I think the idea of calling Arabs/Natufian derived peoples as Red people came from the Ancient Sabeans with whom our ancestors interacted with. The Sabeans called themselves 'Saba Qayh' [Red Men].

That is interesting.
I thought these terms were just recent things but it seems it goes way back.

Pale people become red in the sun. Somalis use terms to differentiate themselves from others. It's not really that deep and likely doesn't have an ancient source. The term implies red ears (likely from sun exposure) not an overall red hue.

Southern Whites were rednecks (in America) and the indentured cadaan workers and their descendants in Belize, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago were called red legs.

Yeah the idea of race is not a recent phenomenon that disingenuous people try to make it out to be. Take a look at how the Old Egyptians depicted themselves, the Natufian-rich Ancient Egyptians typically depicted themselves as Brown with a Reddish hue which was their standard color for depicting themselves.

Race has always existed as long as tribes have existed.
Idk why liberals like to pin everything that goes against their values but is global as somehow an effect of colonialism.
They gives whites too much credit for things that are simply human nature.

All people differentiated themselves from "the foreigners"

It actually originated when a Somali scientist was researching new innovative ways to be racist. This man's name was Yaqub Warsame Cali. He discovered that Arabs would react negatively when called names related to complexion. Dr.Yaqub had decided to dub them the "Red ears/Dhegcas". The Arabs were enraged by this and went red with anger(and so did their ears.) So, jaalle, Dr.Yaqub became a national hero of Somalis due to his uniquely intelligent form of racism. I actually am a direct descendant of this man. Most sadly, his story is unknown to most today.

He actually built pyramids all over Somalia too. Mooryans destroyed his works because a relative of his was an infamous conman, who conned hundreds of geeljire out of their livestock.

What? Cas means red.

Dhega-cas is explanatory, they have red ears, what’s hard to grasp.
Waryaa afka baro. Cas means red and since Somalis are dark ASF it became a word for light skin. So if you hear a person say "Naag taas wey cas tahay" she's literally not red she's just lighter skinned. It confused me at first too. Ethiopians refer to themselves as red or copper colored to denote that they are lighter skinned than other ethnic groups. But I agree it probably just means they have red ears.
