I didnt know they existed there
Some say that ahmed gurey was from a sub clan of beja who have ceased to exist and were assimilated. There used to be 10 - 20 towns the size of harar all were abandoned after the collapse of the muslim dawla adal by the invading gallas, famines, Portuguese destroying the Indian Ocean trade etc

What historical sources do they (those who claim Ahmed gurey was Beja) use?

He was born in the town of hubaat in awdal, and it was a mixed town somali/beja town. The mayor of the town at the time was beja so it's a possibility. It's one of the lost cities which was abandoned after the adal dawla collapsed.

Ahmed Guray was gadabuursi, ask any elder in our land and they will tell you straight away his tribe down to his subclan. Oral history whilst not as good as written still tells a lot and this has been known for a long time.

The fact of the matter is that the beja used to live in awdal, but today t

So they could have been assimilated by the gadabursi.

These primitive vampires are dhabadhilifs, never to be trusted. They have been lackeys for the habesha for centuries and to the French.

Go listen to what they about the Somalis in the arabic language (arab speaking world), wallahi you non Arab speaking Somalis are ignorant to what these primitive monkeys say about us. Isaaq alone are larger than the entire langaab primitive canfar population on this earth.

Wallahi canfar woman insulted us Somalis by calling us savages and she doesn't like to share country with us. All that because in Arabic history page that claimed land of Zelia was in Eritrea. Imagine the page was talking about history of Eritrea and they claimed that land of Zelia was part of Eritrea. And when I started to debunk them. This afar woman started to insult us Somalis. They are jealous because we have our own country and our language is national language there. Unlike them afar/Oromo are under feet of habashi in Ethiopia and Eritrea. They are just tribes while Somalis have Somalia the country not just tribe like them. Glory to our ancestors.

Nope he was not, he was marehan like his nephew who married his widow.

Oromos became Muslim after the Egyptian rule of Harar, outside the Guji / Borona, all of the Oromos that Somalis border are Muslim and have been intermarrying with the clans there for the past 100~ years. There isn't really much of a conflict between them. The Ajuuran were fighting against Waaqists.

As for the Canfar, they don't border Somalis outside the Cissa. Like Somali clans, they likewise have been enemies and competing with each other for centuries. The Ethiopian government have been instigating their conflict further because it's not in their interest for either group to have control of the Cawash valley. And just like how some Somali use ajnaabi to fight against other clans, they've been likewise doing the same thing. But they also intermarry and have a good relationship in Djibouti. The beja, canfar and somali were all part of the multi-ethnic muslim dawla in Harar before it's collapse by the oromo.

Sorry Somalis don't intermarry with Oromo in Ogaden (ask reer Ogaden here). Second in Adal sultanate the rulers were Somalis only. afar tribe and mehri tribe were subjects under control of Somali rulers.

So those shows is the opinion of all afar? You cant mention afar in the same sentence as kikuyu or amxar.

Time has changed people, afar today are not same like afar in 50s. Since the civil war in Somalia and fall of our government and these people became like henyas online. They claimed our history and that afar live in North of Somalia(SL).
