I had this weird experience today, i was coming back from work today & i was waiting for the tube. When all of the sudden a somali girl, comes on to the platform with a cadaan guy on her arm. She automatically locks eyes with me & deliberately faces her back towards. I was baffed because yes i am somali just like you and i am a practicing muslim. But i not going approach you, i obviously disapprove for any somali to be in a haram relationship but i didnt even give her a dirty look i am quite good at controlling my facial expressions and i know me being obviously judgemental is gonna push her away from the community and the deen. Anywho may Allah guide her.
Why do somalis automatically assume other somalis care about their personal lives?

This is how most immigrant communities act, they're a minority in a foreign land that is unfamiliar to them, so they tend to stick closer together even if they don't like each other in order to preserve themselves & their culture. Which is why so many random Somalis act like they're your family lol.

No not at all. If I see a Somali in the random area, then I say hi. This can be said for black people. If I see one in a majority foreign area, I nod.

I'm the opposite actually. I become empowered when a Somali sees me not conforming to what a Somali should be like. I don't look at them though except from the corner of my eye. I don't give them the time of day. Who do you think you are to attempt to familiarize yourself with me just because I probably share an ethnic group with you? You're invisible to me. Then there are Somali women who try to get a peek of me. Feel free to take a three second glance but it's never going to happen.
