Why do Somali limit themselves economically to the Gulf?

This is depressing. 81.9% of our exports is consists of live animals. We are geeljires through and through. We don't even process it. I know the overwhelming number of African countries have very simple exports making it fragile. I don't know if there would be political barriers and leveraging in place to stop it, but we really need to do something about it. We should at the very least export processed meats. Anything from preserved products, sandwich meats, stock, animal food etc. This would allow us to export world wide. The more complicated an export, the better it is. The more jobs and opportunities to capitalise on it. Instead of exporting the raw product and allowing others to do whatever they do it with, we should do it domestically. Not to mention we have the whole halal niche going.
